- Does it need to be primed?
Bottoming: The bottoming is to nail the Ou Song board to the wall (as shown in the figure below) and then nail the wood veneer to the board, which can prevent thermal expansion and cold contraction from deforming the wood veneer, bulging, and more convenient for woodworking installation. Different manufacturers There will also be different specifications. If the thickness is less than 8mm or the wall is not flat, the wood veneer must be primed with Ou Song board, otherwise it will be easily deformed after a long time.
No primer: the wall is flat and used in a small area, the thickness of the wood veneer is > 0.8mm, and the wall is relatively flat
2. What should I do if there are gaps?
There is a gap between the wood veneer and the wood veneer. It needs to be connected with metal strips. Even if it is not connected by metal strips, in the case of large-scale use, since the wood will expand and contract with heat, there will be a gap of 1-2mm when the wood veneer is installed. You can see it up close, but you can’t see it from a distance.
3. Chromatic aberration
When a large area of wood veneer is placed on the wall, the color is often darker than the color of the sample. So I suggest that you go to the local building materials market first, do your homework, and buy it at one time, so as not to affect the effect of the color difference of different batches.
